ONBOARD FACILITIES

Kingswear Castle was built in an age when a trip on a paddle steamer was prized for its health giving properties of wide open decks with plenty of fresh air. Half of the upper deck is covered with an awning with roll down canvas side screens for use in inclement weather and there are two saloons below deck and there is a bar and buffet serving light refreshments.

Groups can pre-book a special afternoon tea or Ploughman's lunch. Please ask for a copy of our menu.

ACCESSIBILITY

As an historic ship, KINGSWEAR CASTLE was not designed for passengers in wheelchairs. Currently, these can be accommodated on the deck only, under the awning, boarding at Rochester Pier where there is a ramp to a pontoon at the same level as KINGSWEAR CASTLE'S main deck.
